I'm especially envious of two things you mention in this post: pain killers and watercress. I haven't had watercress in years, and I love it. And Kaiser has stopped prescribing painkillers for me (and for most). Dental work? take a Tylenol. Diverticulitis? Use a heating pad. Torn rotator cuff? Ice pack should do ya. Is this no painkillers blanket rule preventing or slowing the opioid crisis? Not so's you'd notice.

Forgive me Sandra. Just seen your comment. Another like shared - Watercress! I make extra large rolls so we can eat a whole bag between us. I grew up on it, along with fish (my grandfather was a plumber and his best mate a fishmonger). Just beats cheese and beetroot in a sandwich. My dentist no longer prescribes painkillers, so I have to go the doctor, but my local pharmacy told me to take codeine paracetamol tablets (which you can buy over the counter) and double up on the dose, providing I only take the tablets as needed (which is what I do), but not continuously for three days or more (which I don't) and it has been working. Thankfully.🐰

Our osteopath, a wonderful man who had been a submariner for 30 years before leaving the Royal Navy. Died a few years back of cancer. It always the ones you least expect who go first, introduced us to ice packs many years ago. Memories flooding back thanks to you and your reference to ice packs.🐰

We don't have codeine paracetamol here (codeine is a controlled substance), but I took some when I was in Europe once.
