So true. There are many simple objects that bring me joy as well. A prime example is my Pfaff Hobby Sewing Machine I bought in 2013. I use it a lot, and I take good care of it. I have my favorite cereal bowl, my tea mug (a hand-thrown mug by Cindy Jenkins, who seems to have stopped making pottery), and the quart jar I drink water from all day. My grandmother also had a favorite cereal bowl and I'm so lucky to have inherited it. It was made by McCoy Pottery. I don't know how long she had it, but I've had it for 44 years now. Ah, the simple joys of life!
